Can you fill any of these shifts?
4 hours a month
That’s all it takes to make a difference in the lives of the homeless men, women, and children in this community. Our community.
BEDS Plus is an organization committed to helping end homelessness. The success of BEDS Plus depends on volunteers to provide basic and invaluable services to people in need in our community; a meal and a safe, clean place to sleep. BEDS Plus programs help make a new start possible for people in crisis.
For a Good Cause
Four hours a month is time you can’t afford to waste. Homelessness is a community problem—and our community can solve it together.
Please consider coming to one of our volunteer orientation training sessions to find out how you can make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Description of Duties
Shift 1 – 6:30 to 11 PM
Shift 1 volunteers are responsible for setting up the site, registering clients, serving dinner, interacting with clients, and generally maintaining a safe environment. The Site Coordinator is on site during this shift to oversee operations.
Shift 2 – 11:00PM to 3 AM
Shift 2 volunteers are highly valued by our organization. They ensure the site remains quiet and comfortable and deal with individual concerns as they occur. Site Coordinators are on-call during this shift and available by telephone.
Shift 3 – 3:00AM to 7:30 AM
Shift 3 volunteers begin with a quiet site. Their first duty often is to assist those clients who need to leave early to go to work or those who need personal items or a clothing voucher. At 5:30 they join with the 4th shift volunteers to clean and close the site.
Shift 4 – 5:30AM to 7:30 AM
Shift 4 volunteers transform the site from a shelter to a church basement. They assist clients to put away their bedding, serve breakfast, clean, and put away all BEDS Plussupplies.
